Can anybody give me some information on canopy's with ZP upper. In particular something like the Flick, or other vented jobs. Some pro's and cons, with personal experience would be nice.

This is not a 'shoot the FLick or whatever down'. Just some usefule information, that can help in descision making?

I've put several jumps on an Ace with the upper and a Blackjack without. The Ace had a much more powerful flare. It was really impressive. Almost felt like I was jumping a crossbraced . As for the Flik or Fox I can't say. I think packing a complete zp upper would be a bitch.

how much did you notice it in inflation? im talking low slider off jumps..

No difference. I took it stowed from 300 ft a few times.

so you only think it helsp to give a better flare?,and not giving a faster opening?

Canopy with Upper ZP surface providing:

1.better glide characteristics.
2.Durability of the canopy is much longer
3.Openings are more consistent ( less snivelling )
4.Packing is little bit harder.
5. little harder openings ( easy to notice on terminal jumps )
6. ZP does not contributing on heading performance.

Just a minor correction. The Flik (BR) is offered with a Vtec with covers option. It is not automatically a vented canopy, and can be bought (for the "normal", i.e. lower price) in the "normal" unvented configuration.

Considering I only have a couple of jumps with it and my comparison of recent times is the Blackjack, I don't think I have ample experience to say whether or not it inflates faster than a non-composite Ace or Mojo.
