There was a story in the local papers about the Kinzua Bridge being destroyed in a severe wind storm. I'm somewhat saddened as it was where i made my first BASE jump. From the photos it looks like the middle third of the bridge is gone.

Dang that sucks, dude.

All kinds of things have been falling lately.. lots of towers ('specially nebraska). Look at it on the bright side - nobody can burn it to the ground, now. Do they have any intentions on restoring it?

The winds in that valley were notoriously bad and the structure was very old. It was nice while it lasted....
