Okay, so you've scoped out your building figured out it's a good height, good landing area, etc.. at what point do you determine if you can actually GET roof access?? Do most of these buildings you jump typically just leave their roof access unlocked? I know after talking to some base people around here there are some 'well known' spots that "when the window cleaners are working it's good to go" type of thing.

What about access to the building itself? If you typically do these jumps at night, aren't most of these buildings closed? Unless it's a hotel, casino, or the like or you have some inn.

This might be a topic better discussed via PM, email, or (best yet) in person. I'd not really be comfortable discussing most of that on the internet.

The best way to get answers (and develop your own "style" of access) is to go along on jumps with several different experienced jumpers, then hang out for beer afterward, and pick up things from each of them.

Yeah... what Tom said. This really is a large part of what finding a mentor/local jumpers is all about. Every case is different, and sometimes a single case may be different from night to night. This is where you have to develop your stealth attitude/abilities. Look up what Kevin Mitnick and the hacker community call 'social engineering'. Recommendations are to stay out of the city limits for a while and work on your base skillz well before you go downtown. There's already enough to think about in the middle of the night out in the middle of a field in the middle of nowhere on some obscure tower.

Another good resource are urban explorers. Getting into places they're not supposed to is sort of their specialty.
