I know next to nothing about BASE, but I'm wondering...would it be financially possible to build your own dedicated BASE tower and run it like a DZ? Charge like...$5 per jump or something? The only reason I can think of that this wouldn't work is the whole liability thing, but if a solid waiver could be produced to take liability from the operator...What are your thoughts?


Forgive me if this has been discussed, I know I saw a thread about prices for building a tower, but I don't remember it mentioning anything else...

Personaly i dont think so.What could you offer besides people could jump legal?I dont rember how much it cost to build/buy a tower.But im sure youll need more than just a few jumpers around.

The only way i see it done would be buying parts of a tower,like 60%,then deside its legal to jump that tower by paying to jump it.In that way the jumps would only ekstra to the tower,and it would still get payed for broard casting.Rember it still have to get maintained..

Maybe it should be built in southern Idaho...

I would say DK,i would work at it for free jumpsI would stop regular working,dig a hole near the A,so i could be sure no terrorists would try to blow it up.Just one - i have a low carecter,so im sure i would open it for free(just cant stand to see all thouse poor BASE jumpers have to pay)
We did start BASE jumping becours we didnt have mony to jump anything else rigth

the whole fun of base is to scout out places to jump..."naturally" occuring places.
