Lemmings Extreme
Does anyone know Will Forshay, the person who made this video? It has been two months since I ordered and paid for it. No response from him via e-mail. I thought perhaps he got hurt or something!? Anyone know???

Re: [ixlr82] Lemmings Extreme
Will has been notoriously slow at filling orders, but he's far from being the only one (see the great Bridge Day Video controversy). I'm pretty sure that everyone who has ordered from him has gotten the videos eventually, though. I'd bet you'll get it, but it will take a while.

As far as I know he hasn't been injured, or anything like that.

That's all I needed to hear. Thanks!

Re: [TomAiello] Lemmings Extreme
Note to add... I got the bridge day videos from 2000, and they were late. But they also seemed like a hack job on editing. On my Landings tape, there was a section of landing that was repeated, and mine wasn't even on there. Delays I can understand, but i was not happy with the quality of the video and will not buy another vid from Will.

Re: [lewmonst] Lemmings Extreme
It's definitely true that the Lemmings videos have pretty low glitz value. The editing isn't very neat, and there's no cool soundtrack or nifty titles.

However, I've found that for instructional value there are no other BASE videos that even compare. Every Lemmings tape has dozens of examples of all the most common beginner mistakes. Some of them also have graphic "warning" examples.

If you're looking for cutting edge BASE or high end video, Lemmings isn't it. If you're looking for educational or training material, Lemmings is pretty much the best source available.

Re: [TomAiello] Lemmings Extreme
I just read on the Web that Will Forshay was one of the victims in a small plane crash yesterday in Ohio: http://www.boston.com/..._company_s_pl:.shtml

Very sad news, I assume it's the same Will. 37 years old, same hometown as his address on the Lemmings website.

Per John Goswitz' post on rec.skydiving, it is indeed the same Will Forshay.

I am very sad to here this as well. I did get my video two weeks ago and an apology from Will. Ironically, he said the videos had been sitting on the back burner because he was 'training in a new plane'.
