One other slight problem, the design calls for the glass to generate wind vortexes to power turbines, any idea what that would do to a canopy?
Not saying that during the construction phase....

This isn't likely to be much of a problem. The wind is contained within the structure.
On the other hand flying your canopy over the TOP of the tower might be unwise.

I do belive it have been showed at BlincAs the hot air rises, a powerful updraft is also created by the tower that allows air to be continually sucked through 32 turbines, which spin to generate power 24 hours a day.
