Pro-Pack Video for Base

Due to having been on this planet for many years, my bones and other bits resent bending down and especially kneeling down for extended periods. As such I want to do as much as possible standing up ie Pro-Pack.

I've Pro-Packed my SD rig for years so I know how to do it but for Base I'm not sure of the most efficient ways of cleaning it up after laying it down on the ground. From watching some others it almost seems like they are repeating the whole process all over again and not really achiving any advantages by Pro-Packing.

Can anyone point me towards a video for Pro Packing a Base Canopy please

Thanks in advance,

I think Chuma has one on his channel, too.

If you don't want damage your knees and not change your way of packing the best is to learn how to "sit-packing".
I'm almost never on my knees when packing but on my ass, mostly sitting on one of the feet (I hope I'm enough clear on this one). Just using the knees at the same time as the people packing stand-up. I've learn that watching Gary Cunningham always packing sitting on the ground at KL tower.

P.S.: I think Pro Pack is the way the parachute ends in the container, not the position you do the packing.

Gary manages to get about half a pack job completed on the elevator ride back up, after a jump at KL Tower.Wink

I lay the canopy on its side, apply clamps to tabs/nose, pro pack and lay it down. The weight of the clamps keeps the folds in place and you can tension everything with them too. I never redress anything inside the canopy because it’s already nice and clean. Keeping the brake lines unstowed during this process helps too.
