Hiking (not jumping) Troll Wall
Hello,

Let's say one was on a touristy vacation in Norway and one wanted to make an excursion to the Troll Wall, and actually make it to the original exit point that Carl Boenish launched from in 1984. Not to jump (I quit jumping 13 years ago), just to soak in the scenery (call it a pilgrimage, of sorts)...

...what kind of commitment are we talking about here? Is it a place that attracts alpine-hikers/mountaineers in general, and well-trodden, or is it an unmarked scramble? Is climbing up and down doable in a day from the nearest town, or does it require a camp somewhere midway?

I'll look into the non-BASE hiking resources available for that area, but I figure I'd throw this out here to see if any has any beta that might be useful.

Thanks,

Jaap Suter

Carl's last exit point is not the most traditional exit from that wall.

It's definitely doable in a day for a person of reasonable fitness.

It's quite accessible and a nice hike for a person who is reasonably fit. No need to camp, most average joes can do the hike from Trollstigen car to car in 6-8 hours.
