Stuck on guy wire?
Any info on this? Some comments suggested he made a handful of skydives and deathcamped himself from this A.

Just another "extreme influencer" showing off his mad skills.

I wonder if he livestreamed it?

What’s the big deal. Made 100 skydives and wanted to jump a tower. Don’t know him but these forums get butthurt so fast. Was it stupid? Maybe. But if someone with bigger numbers who were better known got hung up everyone would be like”glad he’s safe and didn’t get injured”

Pretty sure he was a dumb ass about it though. Went on local news and showed off his bad ass “base tats”

Re: [Hanzo] Stuck on guy wire?
it's becoming more frequent but thats not a reason to become desensetized to it.

when we lower the bar and start patting newbies on the back despite their lack of due diligence, then BFL will begin to grow exponentially.

as will awareness and restrictions on base in general.

Originally it was reported that it was under 100 jumps. But I'd argue a slider down guyed antenna can be one of the most technical objects in BASE, only 120 degrees of open space with hard to see obstacles that will hang you up or kill you if you hit them.

Do you think a first BASE jump by yourself with no training dayblazing from a 300' antenna in bad winds with 100ish skydives livestreamed to social media is in any way a good idea?

And yeah if an experienced jumper who could comprehend the risk of a jump like that and did it in proper conditions stealthy and got fucked up I'm sure the reaction would be different. Kinda like when someone goes in in Brento in a wingsuit and they are experienced people are bummed. When some guy with a few skydives goes in in an Aura3 and a skyrig there people have less sympathy. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
