Just heading home from WWL 2018. Good event despite losing a few days to bad weather.

If you are interested in attending we have the following requirements:
- pilots should have 300+ ws base flights
- experienced in high speed turns and terrain flying
- prior target experience preferred
- show a mature, safety orientated approach to the sport
- follow race rules of 7m terrain clearance and 40 sec canopy time
- will provide recent jump footage and photos for WWL marketing
- are committed to social media cross promotion

I usually announce the race here around May, requesting applications. Attending WBR or posting good results on skyderby.ru will help too if we have never met. I live at Brento so come say hi.

It would be truly amazing if L/D and flight modes (for glide comp and speed comp) of each pilot were calculated using L/D Calculator in Wingsuit Studio (download for Windows). We would then have hard aerodynamic data about top performance of current wingsuits and pilots. All it requires is distance flown (to the point before starting to flare), height used, and time to that point. Just 3 numbers - and for the first time in the Solar System, in the history of humankind, we'll have real L/D and real polar curve numbers (sustained horizontal and vertical speeds normalized to sea level) from competitions.

I can compile this myself if GPS data was provided to me.

Hahaha while Yuri is excited for the chance to conduct some mathematical modelling, the rest of us just want to jump that exit!

It looked like it was well organized and a smoothly executed event. I live in Beijing but didn't have time to come watch, so I only caught bits on TV. Great job!
