Are you going to be flying wing suits at all?

Personally, I prefer the Zak 3 to the Hybrid 3. I find the Zak a bit easier to close neatly, and the Zak's stash bag pocket is the best one I've ever encountered.

I agree with Tom. More comfortable fit and more of an all-rounder. I've seen both close up.

Well, would be nice if it was wingsuit compatible, but not jumping WS soon.
Will do a lot of (SU) tracking jumps and urban SD jumps. I think its going to be 50/50.

The price difference is about 30 dollars so thats not the issue.
The Hybrid has less drag and is more streamlined then the Zak. So why would one buy the Zak over the Hybrid when both are allround containers.
I cant find any pro’s and Con’s.

I have to say that im also more attracted to the Zak, for the reason I jumped it and is familiar. But thats the only good reason for me at the moment.

And trying to find some pictures of the stashbag pocket of the Hybrid.

Thanks Tom!

Thank you too G!

I had my order ready for the Zak3 + Atair Vision but then the Hybrid caught my eyes...

You're going to be looking for a while - there isn't one. I found that a bit annoying but I can cope.

I have a Zak 2 and Hybrid 3. Love both of them - but still would prefer if the Hybrid had a stashbag pocket. Have done slider down, tracking and wingsuit with both.
Another thing to be aware of is that the BOC on the Hybrid is tighter which makes it more optimal for smaller PCs like 36/38 and terminal airspeeds.

Do you prefer one over the other?
If you could have just one of the two containers, which one would it be?
And packing wise, are both the same?

And why would one choose to place the closing loop on the bottom side of the container instead of the flap? I saw that its an option on the Hybrid (like the Crux has)?

Re: [Furrr] Hybrid3 VS ZAK3 (Adrenalin Base)
Using the bottom closing loop will let you control the shape of the container into a thinner profile and usually will increase pin tension slightly and depending on container fit make it a bit harder to close. I usually prefer the top flap loop for SD as it’s easier to close the rig without disturbing the packjob as much and has a bit lower pin tension. Then I use the floor mounted loop for terminal and wingsuit for a more compressed rig.

I’ve also done well over 100 slider down jumps on my Crux with the floor mounted loop with no issues. On the other hand, my handful of wingsuit jumps with my Zak2 that didn’t have the trough loop even after making the closing loops as tight as possible, I had issues with the pin flap wanting to open a bit and the top flap moving around a bit. And this rig was built for me and for the canopy in it.

It doesn't have one.

It's always bothered me that Adrenalin makes the best stash bag pocket I've ever seen, and they only put it one of their rigs.

Not having a stashbag pocket was a con for me, but there is some room in the boxers and between the nuts to stow the stashbag in 😉 and taking all the marketing in consideration, the less drag of the container speaks to me. And while not jumping with WS, I am jumping it with a tracking suit..
And in the end I have to see if it impacts the glide ratio..

Oh, and there is some lime green in de container and the ZP of the Vision too. Lime green always goes onheading! Lime green is more aerodynamic than other colors and has more penetration power, so you just have to look in the desired heading and of you go!

Thanks for the advice!

P.s.
Loving yhe snake river youtube video’s!

I honestly think that if the drag of your rig matters, you are one of the world's top 1% of wing suit pilots. There are so many things (like your skills) to work on before the drag of the rig.

Well, im not belonging to that 1% for sure.
Either way, im happy with my choice.

That's what's most important.

If the feeling in your head at the exit point is not confident and comfortable with your gear, it increases the chance that you make some other mental mistake.

Do whatever it takes for you to have the mental space to focus on other parts of the jump.

If the Hybrid had a stashbag pocket it would be the winner for me.
Packing - exactly what DFR said above. But now that I have the Hybrid I'm avoiding use the Zak for terminal because I like the higher pin tension in the Hybrid with the floor-plate closing loop.

You won't be disappointed. :)
