Re: [MBA-PATTO] Fatality July 26, 2018 Walenstadt, Switzerland
Sad day, I jumped with Treehouse a few years ago. One of a kind.
After reading the accident analysis, it just doesn't sound right. For his dive to start right where the trees drop to the LZ ? You can fly those trees after coming out of the exit gully from the barn line and for a good bit and still easily make the LZ. Here's Clem https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=copInleg9-8. Have to ask how high he was over them ? because a 45 left dive says corkscrew entry to me.
Some other thoughts..why was he doing 2 ways with a known seizure condition and why are people doing 2 ways with him ?

Treehouse was my friend. I would just like to see how the Alpine 2 reacted to his initial dive. I think this accident has some learning opportunities.

Good point . The suits are not always designed for what we're doing with them, look back at the Aura steep dive problems many had. The A3 came out for that reason. The suits and flying evolve together. Only one real word for this sport
