Dual parachute system for WS
Does anyone use the model of container in this photo for the purpose shown?

Mirage Wingsuit Rig (not a BASE rig)
Yeah, when Jeb first was shown in the mag in
advertisement saying, "I go places you don't"
I was excited, cause I love my Mirage SKY rig.

However, what the Florida company eventually
released was a SKY rig with a small reserve tray,
big main tray, longer bridle, and dynamic corners.

This type of rig is most popular for Helicopter
jumps which turn into Proximity flying. Hence
the need for a TSO harness and reserve to be
legal for the pilot's license not to be risked.

It's a Mirage, most likely a G4.

As to what size canopies it was made for and if was actually used to jump a fixed object, you'd have to ask the guy in the photo.

It’s a Mirage W-series and the photo is from their website

Jeb, another very rich guy I know, apparently the guy in the picture possibly, and no one else I know of. Id be pretty surprised if they made more than 10, but anything is possible.

Re: [hjumper33] Dual parachute system for WS
I know a guy who bought one and then found out they'd sized it for an ultra lite slider up canopy (like a Peak or Ibex) when he'd ordered it sized for a standard weight OSP. It sat around for almost a year, but I think he eventually sent it back to them.

Thanks for the replies, I had understood it was intended for wingsuiters wanting to jump BASE canopies from aircraft for whatever reason, and was surprised to see a photo implying its use for fixed object jumps.

Yah basically designed for use in places that don’t let you exit an aircraft without a 2 parachute system (aka ‘Murica). Exit an aircraft, fly a proximity line, flare out and pull a base canopy, all from a TSO’d setup. I don’t think it was ever marketed as a base specific container, but it’s designed to be deployed at low altitudes. Hell, you still hear about a random person taking a sky rig off Brent I every now and then.

Re: [ek1923] Dual parachute system for WS
I have used it on probably 20 BASE jumps in Switzerland, Africa and Italy. It's a bit heavy to hike with but if you only want to carry one rig to Europe for both skydiving and BASE jumping it could work. It's not for slider down or acrobatics. I would only jump it if I was tracking or flying wing suits in the base environment. It was specifically designed to be used for proximity flying from aircraft pulling at base altitudes and not getting pilots in trouble. Also for large movie productions that have to deal with insurance that will not allow for anything to be done without all proper approval. This really is more of a film industry rig but it also is nice for people that want to jump their ultra light base canopies skydiving to train year round on the most important canopy they fly, their base canopy. Plus it pretty much eliminates cutaways during wing suit skydiving. No more cutting aways because of line twists on small canopies. I have skydived my base canopy for the last 6 years because of this rig and see no reason to jump any other canopy unless you want to swoop. My Lobo 280 gets forward penetration in 20mph winds when I weight 200lbs and if the wind is stronger than that I am not jumping no matter what canopy I am on. But that is just me and I have gotten soft in my old age. The W Rig is not for beginners though because the reserve is small so you have to be an advanced enough pilot to land a small reserve, but it's unlikely you will ever need it because you really are jumping a base rig and the reserve is kind of there for legal reasons.

Out of curiosity, what is the total weight with your Lobo?

Why not make it a dirty old round then?

Whats the volume on a "wont kill you" sized round?
