I got a whole bunch of shitty dark antenna night jumps on some mini DV tapes if you want. I used to get a boner if I thought the shadow that exited off the tower was me.

My faves are the 80's slider up jumps where they have all of the PC fabric open and take a long delay with the PC slowly rolling them over before they just let go of the PC rather than throw it
On a serious note that 700th jump is sick.

Shit was that sketchy then....and even these days still see people going handheld without some form of stopping the bridle getting caught under the container like tucking it a bit under riser cover etc ....

But why ? Was it no boc or containers with weird pilot chute stow locations like legstrap etc I’m guessing the really early days it was because people jumped skydive gear that was originally ripcord and not throw out style pilot chutes ... ..

This thread kinda freaks me out. I know all of these videos well and I don't consider myself to be old school. So I went into the basement and started looking at all of my BASE jumping films, some on are on DVDs, but many of them are VHS. And that's when I realized, shit, I'm getting old. Thanks fuckers!
