Wingsuit flare technique
Was just wondering how pilots are flaring their suits prior to pulling. After leveling off, I am just increasing the angle of attack of the entire suit whilst keeping the whole suit flat. But I was just watching some Performance Designs videos on WS deployments and these guys are talking about pushing down on the legwing. Wouldn't that introduce more of a plow/stall effect into the situation and create less lift ?

I keep everything flat as well

I'm digressing here, but that was a beautiful exit and flight! What part of the world is it?

I remember just a few seasons ago when the common method of slowing down prior to pulling was to drop your knees a bit. How the suits and techniques have developed.

It's a valid question, as it does have the potential to do just that.

If you start pushing the leg wing down too early, you can plow through the air and induce a high speed stall. The goal when flaring is to remain as efficient as possible, which means transitioning from a high speed configuration, to a level flight path using my arm wings first, and only when I am flying completely level (or even slightly head high) will I begin adding pressure to my leg wing. The pressure on both the arm wings and the leg wing will need to constantly increase during the flare in order to continually increase your AoA.

I find that by using added pressure on my leg wing, it helps me keep my suit as flat as possible. If I ignore the legs I will almost naturally begin to arch slightly, destroying the efficiency of the flare.
