Since the idea of the 4 BASE objects was mainly the normal things we used to think of as tall enough for parachuting, (which in those early 80's with skydiving gear), we usually wanted at least 3 or 4 hundred feet. Now the gear allows safe jumps from much lower, you have to really judge the object by the hazard it presents. The 4 BASE objects all have different hazards. Jumping from the top of a closed stadium is much more like a S than a building. No real hazard to hit the wall with an off heading opening. Same reason most smokestacks are counted as A's, not B's. Stay safe out there.
