"...has anyone replaced their OSP with a Vision?"
I understand that the Vison is a compliment to the OSP but not a direct replacement. The OSP is docile and forgiving whereas the Vision has more forward speed and much better glide.

My question is has anyone replaced their OSP with a Vision and was it the right move?

If you have a facebook account, search for Lemmings BASE on there. Lewis Jones has been jumping one for quite a while now and was a test jumper for the vision canopy way before it came out. He's probably the one who has put the most time on that canopy right now.

From what he was saying, it still has the slow fly characteristics of the OSP and opens just as fast, but also has the additional range if you need it.

He's sold all his OSPs bar one and replaced them with visions, he's also a dealer for them.

I haven't. Still jumping both, my OSP 225 and my new Vision 225. Love each for their respective purposes. I pull the vision out when I have bigger landing area and long canopy ride; it is very fun to fly. I also know I can shut it down when I need to. However, when jumping more technical tight landing areas I still prefer my OSP and its less sporty turns. I would like to make some measurements regarding stall speeds and so forth but have not gotten a chance. There is a trade off when you change the canopy trim, aspect ratio, and wing profile. It is almost impossible to maintain all performance parameters the same while changing some of the input parameters.

End cell closure? Interesting. What's your loading on the canopy? Could you elaborate a bit more on the weird pressurization characteristics? Does that mean it takes a bit to start flying after reaching tail expansion? Could the factory deep break setting be too deep for you which may have the canopy right at stall during opening? Right at stall with a good tail wind (thinking bridge or antenna jump) may cause mushy openings.

I load mine right around .69 too (my is a 225 or 240 PIA F-111). All my jumps on the vision have been slider up. 16 of them terminal and one subterminal. I can't complain so far. Still need to jump it slider down.

Yeah...I would like to see video of your openings. It got me curious.

Very interesting indeed. Now i am curious to make slider down jumps on mine and see if something similar happens. Thanks for sharing

Not sure how to do hyperlink lol. But that appears to be a thread regarding end cell closure but on the OSP. The problen appears to have gone away after the jumper tuned the DBS deeper. Wondering if you are having similar issue.

You can definitely see the right hand nose take time to pressurize but as you noticed this will be all but unnoticeable as that part of the canopy produces next to no lift. The rippling across the left side bottom skin as you flare is clearly caused by you pumping the toggles right before you flare.
Disclaimer: I couldnt give a shit about this canopy or any other one.

Call it a thermal all you like but pumping that toggle repeatedly before flaring is a bigger problem than any "thermal" in your vid.

If you can prove me wrong then go for it. But parachuting 101 is don't yank on your toggles like a fucking monkey at a slot machine. Your video clearly shows you banging away at that toggle repeatedly before you flare. Or is this some new multiple flare technique that only you have discovered? Please, please, please, show us more slow motion vids with arrows and shit to prove me wrong.

Edit: For being an asshole.

Huck, Fledgling, please take a breather and cool off.

Huck I appreciate your deleting your own post. Thank you.

Fledgling, after some googling, I'm going to call "Cuck" a personal attack. You make a lot of good points and have a lot of knowledge that this board needs. Please don't drown out your own "signal" with the "noise" of name calling. Consider this your one warning on this one.

Thanks for keeping it adult, guys.

Wait...... I'm confused , now. So I shouldn't be pumping my toggles on landing? This whole time who'd a thought.
