I have redone this video to correct the number of the doomed Pan Am flight that this accident enabled BASE 174 to miss. A cliff strike that literally added years to Steve's life!

Cool footnote to the history:

A Saudi jumper who started in the past couple years watched that video repeatedly until he was able to identify the site, then drove through the desert to find it and jumped it (probably for the first time since Steve's accident in 1988).

Way cool. Steve would have appreciated that.

No site naming of course. But where is that?

All I know is that it is somewhere in Saudi Arabia. I wish I had known people were looking for it, as the full video (45 minutes) has some panorama's that would probably make it easier to find.

At this point they can just find the local jumpers, who know where it is.
