What is a complete rig?
If I buy a "complete system/rig" from a BASE manufacturer and it doesn't come with a pilot chute, do I have a right to be upset?

Just curious. Thank you for your response.

What is a "Complete" rig?
Were you in any way lead to believe that
your purchase price included a pilot chute?

As in on their order form did you select a
particular size PC and it was not included?

Every new rig I have ever bought has come
with at least one pilot chute, but I have only
bought *New* from Morpheus and Mirage.

I have bought and sold many used rigs
and what each included varied each time.

Although the word "complete" does lead
one to believe it would be jumpable and
I think Jimmy is the only one among us
who has free fallen a rig without a PC Laugh

In all honesty he did have a pilot chute when he jumped. It just might have not been attached in a proper manner. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Depends what the order form said. Simple.

Did it include a canopy? Or just a container?

Different manufacturers package the gear differently.

For example, Asylum and Morpheus include a stash bag and PC with the purchase of a "complete" harness/container system (i.e. container, risers, toggles). Apex doesn't include the stash bag and gives you a discount on the PC (rather than including it). Squirrel gives a 50% discount on both stash bag and PC, but includes neither.

If you upgrade to include the canopy in your "complete" (term used differently by different companies "system" then the package changes, too (for example, Apex now includes the stash bag that you had to pay for if you just bought the container).

If they told you a PC was included, then sure, contact them. If you just didn't read the details of your purchase, then I'd say it's more your fault than theirs.

Yup, agreed with all. Semantics and assumptions. Read the fine print and I'm sure it clearly stated what was included.

Maybe I just don't understand the word complete?

Maybe. And maybe you're dodging the question of what the product description or order form said you were going to get included with the rig?

Just static line. They sent you a bunch of pre-made carry-with-you static lines, right?! its fucked if they didn't.

But they included the RDS, yeah?
