wingsuit accident from high ultimate yesterday afternoon around 4pm, jumper not formally identified yet but police has information from other persons about who it was.

And the ramp was up less than 24hrs ago. I guess that's some kind of record?

wasent there a HU fatality ~24h after the ramp was taken down?

is the ramp just as long (far out) as it was last season? i know last season it was furthest (most comfortable distance clearing the outcropped boulder) that i have ever experienced.

maybe a different setup for the ramp caught some jumpers off guard and put them closer to that hazard than expected.

Not 24h but less than a week after it was taken down in summer...

Can't tell if the setup is the same as before it was taken down, but will check once I'm there in the next days...

And maybe the jumper was deaf and blind? Or a lemming? Did someone push him? Are we looking at murder here?

Unfortunately , he was an Iranian base jumper who recently took part in WWSF 2016 .
Mehdi Habibi start his dream in 2011 in Canada and came to meet God in Lauterbrunnen .

unfortunately there is no information in this matter for Mehdi's friends and other Iranian base jumpers .

For what it´s worth, in the police statement they are saying that :
- He jumped from High Ultimate with wingsuit
- For unkown reasons he was badly injured in the jump and crashed in the terrain
- The rescue team could only confirm him dead and his body was rescued with a long line
