Re: [BCSOG] Who Needs A Wingsuit When You Can Track Like This
It's very interesting, I've had a lot of conversations with very experienced wingsuit base jumpers recently, and I think the title of that video is very true. There's nothing like the feeling of sprinting off a cliff, and the starts that guys are getting in both production and homemade onesies are damned impressive. Proximity tracking is still sketchy as fuck in my opinion, but I'm actually really excited about flying my body again for the first time in a while.

Im sure BFL will see alot more trackers in few years! I personally had never thought i want to track next to a wall but onepieces just yell "go for it". Had my first trip with masai month ago and just couldn't keep away from the walls. I feel way too comfortable in my suit compared to my skill and experience level. Wouldn't track above anything though.

I don't think it will take few years, I'm worried that already next season we will see few fatalities in onpiece suits. What worries me even more is people who buy one piece as their first tracking suit and take it of cliffs with barely any skydives on it Crazy But whatever, I will feel like biggest OG at the exit point in my regular phoenix flyCool

This is getting WAY out of hand! We all know this is not tracking - it's called flying shitty little wingsuit :)

I am not impressed with someone that wanted to show everyone all exits he has jumped with a oneze suit and naming them, most probably not oppening them.

If people agree we should start a something very epic and advanced and rad:
you can name and post names of exits and mountains with full detail how to get to the exit and location if you have opened them.

But I have to say that he is able to fall off cliffs nicelly.

Enjoy,

Luka

Thank fuck someone has said it..

The size of the onesie suit is the size of a fucken swift 2 or t-bird ...Lets put a 2 piece TRACKING suit on and see how anyone goes ..

The title should be

"Who needs a Tracksuit when ya have a wingsuit " hahahahhaTongueTongue

This is not attacking anyone its just simply putting it out there.

Not everybody post video to impress other. He just share what he did with his home made one piece. (And as ads for his products).
He didn t pretend to have opened these jumps. It s just his editing choice to write the name of the jump(he s far from being the only one to do that) Nothing else.

And about your suggestion, we already have that in France, made by the association of paralpinisme and we call it the "topo". You just have to pay the cotisation and learn french ;)

Re: [MBA-PATTO] Who Needs A Wingsuit When You Can Track Like This
I had the same opinion when these things first appeared a few years back, but as I move away from proximity flying, the advantages of the onesie are more and more tempting. It kind of has the best of both worlds, the freedom of a track suit, and performance somewhere between a p2/v3 or even better, depending on the suit and pilot. It opens up a lot more jumps to safe tracking (including some of my local ones which is my primary interest).

I must agree, the frenchies are leading the way on this, and some one the homemade stuff is pretty ridiculous. Of course, and as always in base, pushing the envelope too far will lead to fatalities, but the potential is really interesting.

Re: [hjumper33] Who Needs A Wingsuit When You Can Track Like This
I totally agree, the onesies are awesome. I really want one myself, they are just amazing flying toys imo.
Now, basejumpers are gonna base, so we will see an increase in fatalities in this realm as well. Flying close to stuff is just that dangerous and unforgiving, and I'll be surprised if we don't see some tool try to jump Brevent that isn't called Veush or Lolo. Those guys are amazing.

Now, all that's missing is a good old fashion brand war!
Tonysuit, S-fly, Squirrel, Rbaseg, HMFM (home made french madness) - rumors say Phoenix-fly has been working on one for a while too - who you got?!!

Re: [Heat] Who Needs A Wingsuit When You Can Track Like This
The moment that changed my mind from "these are stupid and look like coveralls mechanics wear" to "whoa that's pretty bad ass" is seeing Vince track to the lz off kl, basically pulling at the same place and altitude as myself in a v3 in 2010.

Re: [Heat] Who Needs A Wingsuit When You Can Track Like This
Rbaseg is basically homemade french madness. The prototypes (and the development stream) were pretty much all sewn by Antoine in his van (which counts as his home).

Really, Patto "that's not tracking, you should put on a shittier tracking suit, then you'd be tracking!"
If you want to be a purist then go out there in your fucking birthday suit mate Tongue
Any chance we got a pre-smoke pants jumper to hate on the original PF?

...haters gonna hate.

Re: [MBA-PATTO] Who Needs A Wingsuit When You Can Track Like This
If I'm puting the name of the exits in my vids it's to share. I've found so many videos with beautiful jumps that I wanted to do and without location? and I don't get the point of not sharing. As it is said if you want to know where these jumps are you can register to the french paralpinisme association and get the "topo".

Just to make it clear, no matter the size of the suit tracking is all about the body position. Or we can also say "tracksuit are cheating, go slick !"
It's not a competition BTW. Just some jumps cannot be done in 2 pieces tracksuits, and they are still fucking cool to track.

Finally I agree with the fact that proximity tracking will put some names in the BFL in the next years for sure. As trackers we cannot glide to get out of a line, it makes flying over ground very dangerous, and I'm feeling way more comfortable with side proxy.

Be safe and have good jumps !

PS: I love wingsuiting and slick and slider down (even if SD scares me)

I've never seen anyone track that close to the road @ Bispen before, Kudos Antoine and keep showing them how it's done.Cool https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKbxg_HcO4k

I think they are talking about "tracking" past the road. When is your new Onesie coming out Robert?!

Re: [Heat] Who Needs A Wingsuit When You Can Track Like This
in 2 weeks Heat.

From my point of view, the Tracking jumps we need to divide in to three categories:
1. slick - the most nature way of tracking , and the hardest one.
this way of tracking shows the skill and nothing but the skill.

2. two peace suit tracking - this days still most popular way. It shows skill and suit does not help much if jumper does not have skill or knowledge how to track. It is misconception that two peace track suit will cover up lack of knowledge. Two peace suit will help jumper to separate further from the wall at the beginning with simple transfer of energy but if jumper hold wrong angle the energy will vanish with speed of light.

3. Single / mono suit - this I call with all respect little WS as the theory behind is actual WS technology.
Also, feeling of flying such suit is closer to WS than tracking.
Such suit has power to cover up the lack of knowledge of the jumper much more than the other two above mentioned type of flying. True is that good shaped (light long slim body) jumpers will be able to pull the insane glide ratio for given surface than any two peace type of track suit but that is so expected anyway.
For me the such suits are WS with free arms actually...

Re: [MBA-PATTO] Who Needs A Wingsuit When You Can Track Like This
Still doesn't agree with you both Patto and Robert.
Words are words and wingsuit has wings or it's not a wingsuit. If there is nothing to tight between the body and the arms or between the feet there is no wing, so not a wingsuit.
"light long slim body" are helpful in any category (slick, wingsuit or tracksuit) so it does not makes any point here.
As a big wingsuit has better performances than a small one, it is the same in tracksuits.
The performance ratio between a good tracker and a bad one is usualy the same whatever the track is, slick or with a suit. The bigger the suit is, the better a bad track is.
