He RIP´d 2 days ago. Non BASE related. He was a first gen BASr. Hung on through thick and thin. I legendary person as well as a great person. He influenced BASE alot. I miss you Bill.

Space, my friend, I have wondered over the years whether you and Bill were immortal. Normal people just dont survive the kinds of crazy shit both of you have done; at least not for long.

I can't wrap my mind around a world without Legg. He bought me a t-shirt at Bridge Day 2005. I hadn't worn it in a long time, but two nights before he died, I pulled it out of the back of my closet and slept in it. I wish now I'd listened to the little voice inside my head that said, "Pick up the phone."

Love you, Bill.

He will be missed.

Thanks for the good times, Bill. I'll never forget when I told you I had found this remote tower with an elevator that just had a simple combination lock on the elevator, and your deadpan response was "oh, yeah, the combination is..."

RIP my old friend.

Used to jump with him at Skydive Houston a lot. Enjoyed the Friday afternoon low pulls.

For memories, I have one of Bill Legg's old BASE cards. Kinda like the old baseball cards that came with bubble gum. I remember he used to race motorcycles as well.

My first terminal base jump was on Bill's old Pegasus that was packed by someone else. It blew a toggle, wrapped the cascades and I spiraled into the trees ... and walked away.

Story 3.
Onetime. in a visit to me when Bill and his Crew went from Munich to Trento (I

was the guide). We Stopped at Europe´s Highest autobahn bridge at the time.

Parkplace, observaton sidewalk etc. I was pointing the how to do it for their

trip back. and when we were at the tourist end of the side walk. 350 meters

onto the bridge. Bill said to me, "look over there." On the other side of the

road was a hip bag. Bill said it would be interesting to know what it

contained. I do now notice the smirk he had. He spiked the idea in my head

laughlingly. but the Traffic was too intense to cross over then we went back

to the begining of the Bridge 350 meters.The Autobahn bridge there was

designed with 5 lanes(moment read on on.). one is the service lane. the other

4 for traffic.It happened to be that the middle lane was closed. The hip bag

that Bill inserted into to my brain was aginst the side of the wall of the

service lane.
So I was running back after the cross over and I heard Bill yell "Hurry

up!!!" and his crew started yelling also. I was in total Florida style short

pants, T-shirt, Teva sandles and started running in the service lane. So I had

to look over the retainer wall every 50 meters or so to see the hip bag the

smirkin Bill had lit me up on. As I was getting close, I looked over and

though, I am close. I then tripped over a a piece of pavement Busting a toe

and elbow and knee abrasions. I thought that Bill and his crew were laffing at

me. But I got the hip bag even though i was bleeding from 5 places. Power to

me!!! I opened the hip bag that could have belonged to a millionaire or Bill

Gates. And went bezirk with what was in the hipbag. I was runnig back to my

audience (Bill Legg and crew) And Bill asked my bleeding self " so what´s in

the bag?", I said " it is insane" Inside the the bag was a first aid kit. I

had to use all of it to cover my scrapes.. Bill may have said something like

`plus one, minus one = 0, Let us jump.. Muhahahahahaha!!!!
He had a way to make yourself better without you knowing it. I will always

remember this about Bill. But I can´t understand the hip bag thingy.
