Squirrel Outlaw Slider Panels
Anyone out there with the Outlaw have much feedack in regards to the slider panels that Squirrel gives with the Outlaw canopy to slow down openings. body position and airspeed are the biggest factors but do the panels do anything substantial with helping slowing down openings?

Yes the panels definitely have an effect on opening speed.

I have Outlaws with both Dacron and Spectra line sets. For wingsuiting with the Dacron wing I use no slider break, and I use the hybrid for the spectra. Very happy with these configurations, but keep in mind I am mostly deploying after flights over 1000m and are followed by big juicy flares.

Re: [Lau] Squirrel Outlaw Slider Panels
I use the Outlaw with biggest panel on my wingsuit jumps.
I probably don't make such a juicy flares as Lo but still slow down.
I have dacron lines on that canopy.
Openings are soft... maybe too soft for someone who likes to pull low ;-)

It's worth to try and check it out. Would not be worry about heading performance with using panels.

Re: [powdaboy] Squirrel Outlaw Slider Panels
I use no panel with wingsuit, and biggest panel tracking. Opening are nice and soft, and theres definitely a noticeable difference. Even without a panel, I was really surprised how soft tracking openings were compared to other vented canopies ive jumped.

Holy Shit.... someone's name is in green. Fak yeah Charlie, about time a moderator is here with REAL experience.

And you will notice a substantial difference between the full brake, ½ brake and no brake. Full Brake is the softest.

How you pack, depends on the jump. No different than pilot chute selection.

Read the Outlaw manual: http://squirrel.ws/...nual_v201608_WEB.pdf

I use the hybrid brake for tracking and no brake for wingsuiting. Also no brake for most terminal antenna jumps.

I don´t see the system of attachment. I see something about a tab tuck. How many tab tucks or is velcro involved. or what?
Thanks in advance.

The system is tuck tabs, just like you saw. There are photos and everything, it's very straightforward.

Re: [wasatchrider] Squirrel Outlaw Slider Panels
Velcro and sliders are a bad juju mix since it was frowned upon 25years ago as a jumper had the hook Velcro catch the lines.. It has nothing to do with release the canopy. I am only a Texaner living in Germany. But I see nothing other than taking care of the position (Over or under the slider). Please send me the more detailed version of instillation.

Some people jumped WS slider down and flare before opening.
Sure. It's possible.

I think everybody can do own decision and i use panels because sometimes i don't want to flare or it's just didn't work for me this time ;) And i like soft openings ;)

Re: [base283] Squirrel Outlaw Slider Panels
theres no velcro on the slider.

I use the largest panel for terminal, because I'm a fat old guy and, and I want to know that I can pitch in any old position if I have to.

I also pull a lot higher than the young guys who run the slider without the panels. That's because I'm a soft old guy.
