2 basejumpers died yesterday in the valley. a 30 year old italian was flying from black line when he collided with the wall. hours later a 49 year old british jumper died when jumping from high ultimate and hitting the rocks shortly after exiting.

(just to clarify, there was no ramp at high ultimate anymore. it was taken down before the weekend)

Condolences to all friends and familys. The last couple weeks has affected many people

tracking HU without the ramp in wet conditions is quite insane.

there is no forest cover on the hike to exit, your shoe treads get full of guck on the way down and you need an excellent push to clear the outcropped boulder just below a downward angled uneven rock that is used as a launchpad.

i avoid this exit even the day after a good downpour, with or without the ramp just cause i'm a pussy about getting mud all over if i can help it.

I know of a guy that broke his jaw on the way to Flower. I'm trying to avoid the rain now, especially when i know the exit, or the way there, is funky.
