Installing vents on Mojo
Hi all!

Anyone have experience jumping vented mojos? Would love to hear your thoughts on this as I'm considering getting vents installed on my 240..

My main reason for considering vents is to increase opening performance for slider down jumping. I won't be going super low with it as I only do the occasional slider down jump and I have an OSP ultra light now.

The slider down jumps I have been doing with the mojo has all been two second delays of relatively tall SD objects and the openings have been great - so I guess my question is would it be worth the cost for my type of jumping?

Did vents have a huge negative impact on the flight characteristics of your Mojo, in terms of glide and flare power? How many vents?

I'd prefer answers from guys with hands on experience!

Cheers!

Re: [Heat] Installing vents on Mojo
I doubt anyone would do it.. just sell it to some bridge fags....the mojo has a pretty steep angle of attack and opens fast off low shit....but its the weird shit it does while inflating that scares me and sorta need to hold back from popping toggles instantly id hate to 180 one.....but yeh ive never heard of a vented one before theres probably a reason.......im interested to know but....i still got my old mojo

I'm pretty sure I've heard about people installing vents but wasn't able to digg up any old posts or information...

I really like my mojo but it's getting up there in age and jump numbers. There is still some good old fun left in her, though, so I'm getting a full inspection and re-line soon.

The Mojo is just fine the way it is ;) Used to freefall 250ft with no problems. If you want to ask someone about adding vents, you should probably talk to Marty at Asylum, seems like the best person to ask.

Same here . the two Mojo's I owned were pretty solid on opening characteristics and great for sinking-in and riding the wire straight-line steep to where you wanted to land .

Your first hint totward that conclusion should have been when you wrote the words "my openings have been great"

I have several low static line's/PCA's with my Mojo, 150-200ft and I even had the time to 180 and land from 150'.

I have also seen a 180 from a PCA on a Mojo from 200 where the flyer was able to back it up, turn it back around 180 and land standing up in between two houses literally right below the tower. (Granted he is a canopy wizard)

Mojo's got all the Mojo it needs!

I am glad to hear your not making any modifications.

I would think a vented Mojo would behave similarly to a Troll MDV.
