osp slider choice
which slider (big mesh / small mesh / slow slider) do you use for which delays / deployment speed? which do you use for terminal tracksuit and wingsuit jumps?

Re: [heavy] osp slider choice
atair recommends the slow slider for terminal jumps, especially for tracking and slick tracking.

my experience with osp's (watching quite some people doing their first few jumps with an osp, aswell as having myself about 200 jumps on mine now):

- if youre a beginner that still has to dial in his pull style, tracking flare, packing, etc, and you are having hard openings with youre current canopy, go with the slow slider for terminal.

- if youre experienced jumper and you do not have a problem with hard openings on youre current (vented) canopy (eg. troll), than you will most likely not have problems with the osp and a regular big mesh slider either. it opens slightly faster, but this can be easily dealt with at packing.

- if youre experienced jumper and you have hard openings with youre current canopy, go with the slow slider.

Re: [heavy] osp slider choice
Ive used my small mesh slider for all my slider up jumps with an osp loaded pretty heavy. (1.06) no problem at all. Quite nice actually. Nicer than my Troll which is a little older. But Anyways, if you want my opinionated breakdown, if you want to be anal, and are super worried about it, and pull high, throw the slow slider on it. If you are tracking put the small mesh on, and if wingsuiting put the large mesh on. Otherwise just HTFU, dont change anything, and have a good base jump ;). Breaking it down even more, if you are subterminal, put the large mesh on

Just my personal opinion, but hey, we are base jumping, and you all know we wont change sliders for different jumps..its way too hard. For a good all the time, just use the small mesh. You will be fine. Dont blame the occasional hard opening on the slider...it was probably just hard like any canopy will do to you once in a while.
