Heli rescue rules in Brento
Yesterday there was a rescue operation at Monte Brento to help a Base jumper that had a cliff strike He had injury (Both legs broken) but fortunately is not in danger of life.
After this rescue the head of the rescue teams called me for remember to every BASE Jumper that is forbidden and extremly dangerous jump when the ely rescue is in flight.
It's also extremely dangerous to stay in the area adjacent the exit point when the rescue team is working to rescue a BASE jumper remained in the wall.
The risk of falling rocks is really high! some rocks could end up in the helicopter rotor or on the rescue teams with disastrous consequences.
It's mandatory leave the area around the exit point until the rescue operations are not terminated and until the rescue team is on the cliff below.
NOTE: Is not enought see the ely on the elypad for restart to jump! the rescue team is still on the cliff! It's possible to restart to jump ONLY when the ely has returned definitly to base.
We reccomend to pay really attention at this rule!
The safety of those rush to help the BASE Jumpers in danger is more important that one extra jump.
Please respect the rules and the angels of rescue teams.
