Northern Norway
Heading to Northern Norway, the Harstad / Narvik area. Anyone know of any locals in the area? I will not have time to head south to the major walls.

Re: [FedBase] Northern Norway
when? Wingsuit or tracking? Experience?

There is nothing except a new bridge being built in Narvik. A wall in Steigen two hours drive + ferry, that have been jumped. See map. The national mountain Stetind is still full of ice, so not really accessible

Re: [434] Northern Norway
In two weeks, quick trip. Prefer overhung cliff, i have tracking experience, i do not wingsuit. I figured most objects would be snow covered and not accessible. I will check out Steigen and see if its doable this time of year.

thanks for the info

Re: [FedBase] Northern Norway
Not really a tracking cliff.

Im trying to find a drone video from the top of it.

This is south of Bodø.

There is a beautiful cliff called Henrikkafossen in the valley Spansdalen in the municipality of Lavangen. It's in Troms close to Harstad/Narvik. It's overhung, you can jump it both slider up and down (I prefer it SD with a 3 second freefall, that put's you right in the most overhung section. Short hike, quite easy axcess. Use the online map on www.ut.no/kart and type it in. You can google image Henrikkafossen as well.

Re: [Bender] Northern Norway
Steigen is the commune, Skotstindan is the mountain.

Thank you. Now it is clear.
Probably Store Blaamann near Tromso is accassable in this time of the year. Nice tracking exit. When you cross the bridge from south part of the city the cliff is right ahaed of you in the middle. Very impressive!

Driving to the north last summer also saw Blokktinden cliff not far from Rodoy, a bit positive, but seems to be jumpable too. Was it jumped by someone?

Re: [Bender] Northern Norway
VKB have jumped some few around in that area. I saw one interesting cliff in Senja last summer as well, but more likely a wingsuit exit. Im not active anymore, so did not check it out. There is plenty of exits all over, but people is lazy these days. To many easy hikes and walls now compare to before.

Anyway, it is a good crane in Narvik, so bring your 42"

Re: [elex] Northern Norway
Not so much more information I already given in this tread. How did it go with tread starter?

Re: [434] Northern Norway
I wish I had good news, yet I never had the chance to make a jump while in Norway. Plans changed as a member of my group broke their leg "non base related" and priorities changed.

If I get the chance to return to Norway, I will plan way in advance and ensure I find an object!

Thanks for all your help and assistance.
