I can't jump yet seeing as I have no canopy experience but my aff is coming up and I've known for a long time that BASE is where I'm eventually going to end up. So I thought it would be helpful to get my foot in the door and to see what it's all about. So anyone who is looking for an extra hand this summer let me know. Sweeeet.

Keep with AFF and then get a few hundred jumps. If you meet with local BASE jumpers, look for rigging skills and time in sport--a few years--not just whoever will talk to you. And get rigging skills of your own from certified and reputable riggers.

Just go to Lodi and say you want to BASE jump. Someone will take you.

The monkey skull drinking cup was a bit problematic so I went with this design as a memorial.
Overall the Bounceproof* course is a top notch school regardless of the few mishaps that have occurred there.

You guys really need to start up again, with all the youtube heroes out there, more BASE jumpers trapped in the body of someone who has never skydived need your help!
They have all the internet knowledge needed to become greats, with none of the nasty habits that are learned by making hundreds of skydives.

So is that legit or were they messing around? Because i will definitely look into it that shit seems pretty solid. And I'm going to start skydiving Lodi soon I'm sure I'll meet a couple guys down there.

Bounce proof is totally legit, and not a joke.
I trust you've already chosen the colors for your wing suit? Very important that they match your rig. Have fun in Lodi, and remember, the ground is the limit.

I need someone who knows the sport personally to tell me if this really is a truly bad idea because maybe I'm wrong but it doesn't seem like it would be. Constructive criticism much appreciated.

Learn to skydive in real life. Then figure out a path into BASE with people who've 1.) been doing it for a long time and 2.) can point you in a direction without giving a shit about making a buck.

But they don't have a YouTube channel and they don't market themselves to wannabe jumbers who can't connect themselves to active or experienced jumpers outside of the interwebs.

Mostly messing around, colsco is giving you sound advice though. Strangers on the internet aren't always the best place for advice, so seek as many different sources as you can.

Yeah that's what I was figuring but I thought that would have been too good a chance not to look in to haha. Thanks for the advice though but I guess I better stick to skydiving and try to get some time ground crewing in and do it the long way. But if I find a base rig laying around I'll be on the high road to rick and spences. Be ready.

I will give you my rig and PCA you off my bridge. And if you don't die or break anything I will teach you how to BASE jump. All for less than a tandem BASE jump. Don't be gay, real men don't tandem.
