Container choices
Hi Peeps
Looking for some views on a new container. The latest and greatest from the main manufacturers are obvious candidates, but I wondered about some of the smaller manufacturers like Darkside. Do you have any comparisons on the relative pros and cons?
Thanks for all input

Re: [RichM] Container choices
As said in previous post all modern base containers are basically (safety wise) the same. They are all versatile enough for low stuff to terminal (especially with the new and nifty soft l bars on integrated systems if you're into that comfort and simplicity sort of thing. I know I am.) In addition, nearly all have a "weakness"- as seen here: http://www.watchthybridle.com/2013/10/pinlocks/
I'd suggest checking out Jeff's SkunkApe containers. I had a Zak and loved it. I have 2 Yetis now and love them too. They're great looking and very comfortable. And Jeff has the all options for one price so it's a simple and easy buy at a good price. Also, with the flexibility of the pin protector flap, a worst-case pin lock scenario I saw on my Zak on watchthybridle is possibly eliminated. On top of which, he loves special requests. Fur on his flap seems to be a popular one.
Cheers

I second the skunk ape.

I had a Badseed and there was nothing wrong with it, I have a Skunk Ape BASE Yeti now and it's I like it a lot. Like stated above comfortable, pin lock potential is nearly eliminated (never say never) they are nice containers that don't break the bank and Jeff's an easy dude to work with. He puts the time into his work and it shows. I'll be buying a second Yeti when I can afford another OSP.

I got to jump a few different containers on my FJC, and afterwards, I went for a Blacksheep Talus. It's lightweight, comfortable, flexible, aesthetic, and has nice AustriAlipn hardware.

Not jumped a Darkside but had a good look at them during the AirgameZ last year (they were a soonsor of the event)
Great bits of kit, Al has done a great job on all the ones I have seen.
