Simple question, difficult to answer.

In the history of BASE jumping, have a total of 1,000,000 jumps been made?

 
With an fatality avarage 1/2500 jumps

We are closer to 700 000 jumps maybe.

Before 1990 it takes 50 active jumpers to make 200 jumps each to make 10 000 jumps

1990 - 2000 it takes 200 active jumpers to make 200 jumps to make 40 0000 jumps in 10 years

2001 - 2010 it takes 400 active jumpers to make 100 jumps a year to make 400 000 jumps in 10 years

2011 - 2015 500 jumpers a 100 jumps a year makes 250 000 jumps

A total of 700 000 jumps

I actually think that Paul's math is the best guess I've seen.

50 - 70 000?

We shuld be at 750 000 + jumps, and can roughly celebrate 1 million jumps in 2019.

Where did you come up with that number ? These numbers are all completely made up.!!! I don't even know how many jumps I've done!!
If you want to roughly celebrate a million jumps lets do it now.

Yes, it is made up by estimate numbers what is realistic by the time. If you also guess one fatality pr 2 500 jumps, you end up close to 800 000 jumps total. It is not science, but an answer to the treadstarter what i think ;-)

I believe 1 million base jumps have been made by now.
