Has anybody gotten a chance to fly the Sausage or Sumo 2 yet?
The Sumo 2 looks to have a totally different inlet scheme and some fairly major tweaks to leg volume. My main criticism of the Sumo 1 is that it is difficult to transition to and maintain an AOA steep enough for best glide, but these tweaks seem to be aimed at addressing those issues. Unfortunately there are only computer renderings and no actual in flight pictures of either suit on the Squirrel website.

It looks like they now have actual pics in addition to the rendering on the Sumo2 page but still nothing for the Sausage. I put in my order for a Sumo2 today and will post my thoughts on it once it comes in and I've put some jumps on it.

curious to know the difference in performance between the sausage and the cruise/cruise+ someone start jumping it so i know which one to buy :)

Its a good idea to stick with a two piece suit for a while anyway being a newbie ;)

The sausage is basically a Tony Suits Masai. So chances are, its going to fly almost exactly the same. That being said, it should be pretty great. In my experience the Masai is significantly better than the sumo. As far as glide ratio, this guy ( https://skyderby.ru/en/tracks/3105/replay ) peaked at above a 3:1 off Brento in a Masai. Pretty fucking impressive for a track suit.

In 2013 he built it in a garage in the suburbs of Arco and I test jumped it off the cliff then back to the drawing board for getting the vents correct before skydiving testing..

Good to see they came far! I still have my Tony tracking suit that Jeff gave me to test back in 08 or 09. It has definitely come a long way ;)

I would change it to:

i love how the technology has evolved, but NOTHING beats the level of badass that all those cats in superterminal had with those homemade smoke pants setups! so fucking hardcore

Everytime I hear "What else is there" by Royksopp I think of Superterminal, and every time I think of Superterminal I remember how much it blew my mind. That shit was off the hook

I also distinctly remember getting a copy of super terminal in the mail and popping it into the DVDs player for the first time with Mr 570. We sat wide eyed through the whole thing twice, slowly realizing how game changing it would be.

I have only put a few sky jumps on the sausage so far. I like it a lot. I'll land in Europe next week and post some thoughts once I get a chance to huck it off some rocks.

I have video of 2 Sausages flying by at brento, both making it to the landing. So Patto and Tony were really onto things, as the Sausage is yet another blatant copy. It does work well, though!

Still, I think I'll order a Cruise+!
