General BASE

tandms in interlaken
.

I'm a TM.

Been doing it for about 9 years now. Jumping for 14.

Not much of a base jumper - only have 44 jumps so far.

32 of which were in the Valley in Lauterbrunnen.

I'm interested in having a future set up whre i can work somewhere that I can also base jump.

Where i work now there is zero opportunities to do base jumps. The country is flat, including the buildings.

Interlaken seems like very good a possibile destiniation for a place where I can work and jump..

1.What kind of gear do they jump ( ie is it in good nick, is it sigmas) ?

2.Do you get time off or is it a 7 days a week kind of set up.

3.Are the bosses cool.

4. DO they still do outside camera? ( i like to jump camera too)

5. How hard is it to get a slot there?

6. Do they easily take on non-swiss jumpers who only speak English?

7. Is it a fun place to work?

thanks in advance for any replies and flamings.

Re: [MrHey] tandms in interlaken
I would like to add to this question: How hard is it to find work in general in Interlaken area including Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald... because Im having similar thoughts about moving there for a while.

I guess theres probably not a good answer to that question.. but Id be curious to hear about other peoples experience and possibly some advice if there are some places in particular.. hotels or so that need seasonal workers / short and midterm employees.

As far as I understood - in order to stay and work in switzerland for more than 3 months you need a work contract and you have to apply for a visa.. Any info on that process would also be appreciated.

also interested if normal jobs such as washing dishes in a restaurant are open to non swiss for cash in hand etc. I'd be happy with any job to be honest.
