Antenna Security
Hi, would anyone be able to tell me if this (attached image) is a motion detector? There are two of these facing each other. There appears to only be one set of these about 25 feet up and no more... If thats not what this is, does anyone have a picture of what a typical antenna security sensor looks like?

Yeah, that's an Optex AX-70T. Don't break the beam and you're good.

Re: [Skez] Antenna Security
They probably have the beam interruption threshold set to ~500ms so it wouldn't be triggered by a bird flying through it. That's also why they use the beam transmitter/receiver units inside of the structure instead of passive IR units like you have on your outdoor garage light that would trigger every time a bird flew by.

Yup. We have those at one of my local objects. We just walk behind them. They are set up in pairs. If you follow the line of sight from the rounded black part, you should find the other one. Don't get between them, or you'll break the beam.

Antenna Security
On the subject of security, I noticed this device hanging from a light pole. This tower is in a rural area. The cable out goes to the other power lines along the road and gets lost among the other cables on the poles.

Any idea if its security or some sort of repeater for the local community?
