Hey guys. I have a friend looking to get an outlaw. How does pack volume compare with other similar-sized canopies and other containers (apex containers specifically)? They're considering putting it in a summit or DP.

A 271 Light Outlaw and 265 OSP Light (280) are nearly identical.

Anything on how those compare to apex canopies? I'm guessing it's a general ultralight->regular thing and not as dependent on manufacturer?

Not sure, I mean vents and tail pocket sizes etc play a decent part. Even if the material is the same, I'm sure there is a notable difference in pack volume just from other factors. But maybe not enough to really matter....

The Lobo & FLiK UL's pack volumes are significantly less than the OSP on a 1 to 1 comparison. I remember Todd giving me numbers on the difference, but the OSP I borrowed definitely packed larger than my Lobo & FLiK. Ask Todd for the numbers.

I think exact "Apex" size for 265 OSP is 282.

I have a regular weight 293 and its in a DP7, and it packs larger than a Troll 285, Mojo 310, and a Flik 308 LV.

well for argument's sake, my Outlaw 293 packs the same as my blackjack 280 that it replaced in my DP.

Sold my 260 feather for a 248 UL outlaw. Packs up snug into my profile container which was built for the feather.
