Their are plenty of other things like this out their but what struck me as interesting about this is it's size. It's fairly compact. Repackable with standard replaceable CO2 cartridges. Looks small enough to go on each side of your MLW.

Re: [RiggerLee] Float
it would be cool if this could replace the USPA requirements for jumping off a mountain near a body of water!

Re: [JBag] Float
Well actually we do at times jump near water. And their have been some unintended water landings. It's small enough that a couple of these would not be in the way and might keep you afloat long enough for people to get to you. Trying to swim in cold water is a bad plan. Any kind of flotation helps. Even if it's just enough to help you keep your head and neck out of the water it will go a long way to helping to keep you alive. Theirs something about your neck and the back of your head being submerged in cold water that interferes with your respiration. That's why the old style life vest, the ones that work, have that float behind your neck. To try to make the body float face up but to also hold the back of the head out of the water. But any type of flotation to help you keep your head above the cold might give you more time to get to shore. Or at least that was my thought. It's just one of the smallest inflatables that I've ever seen
