Does anybody know a guy called Mat Foster ???

I had a rig for sale and he was interested in buying it. He told me to send a Paypal-invoice so he could pay it. As i did so i’ve got a message from a fake Paypal account to pay 500Euros for the shipping agent. Since it looked all too suspicious i forwarded it to the Paypal-Abuse-Department. The guys from there told me that it was a phishing-attempt and i shouldn’t pay it.

So be careful when you sell your stuff via internet…

i have only dealt with two different asshole phishing bullshitters on the internet, but usually it is pretty damn clear when someone is trying to fuck around with you, be it weird verbage, or outrageous requests to do shit that seems shady.

as ive purchased mostly used gear and sold some used gear, i ALWAYS get a phone number, and get someone on the phone to verify they are real. if they arent willing to chat, fuck 'em.
