We are having a little crane event in Blackpool (North West England) this August Bank Holiday, 29th-31st of August.
Just think, unlimited jumps without the need to climb ladders or hike.
Strictly limited to 50 jumpers to make sure everyone gets plenty of jumps in.
We still have a few slots left so if you are interested in attending please let me know asap.


Nearest airports are Manchester or Liverpool and Blackpool has more strip clubs* and bars than you will ever need. It's also home to one of Europe's biggest amusement parks.



We will have a 320ft crane and be jumping on to the beach as a public demo/fun competition.

Fees are £200 which will go towards the hire of the crane and public liability insurance.

We will get around 7hrs a day jumping due to tide times etc


3 golden rules are

1) Don't try anything your haven't already done many times before.
2) Minimum 42" PC, Knee pads and Helmet.
3) Dont't fuck up.

All you need is a minimum of 50 slider down/off BASE jumps.

Prize pool consists of Kodak Sp360 cameras for the top 3 finishers and a custom container from British manufacture, Dark Side Parachutes for the overall winner.

We will have a live band and paella on the Sunday night and free wristbands for Blackpool Pleasure Beach (the theme park where we jumped the Big One Roller Coaster) for the Monday morning.

All you need is a minimum of 50 slider off/down BASE jumps.

I have seen the list. I believe you are lying.



In reality I'm just bummed I couldn''t make it, have a great event guys. And Jools remember your own rule, DON'T FUCK UP. There's kids watching. :)

Hmmm I am not so sure. Think he would have more chance with a parachute liking at the entry list.

So are you guys suggesting that I'm a world class drinker AND one of the world's best base jumpers? Finally some recognition!

There's a stage and PA system next to the crane and a dude with a microphone announcing who's about to jump next and getting the crowd to cheer when someone hits a dead-centre on the target. Every now and then he explains to bewildered passers-by what is taking place and that this event is a gathering of "50" of the world's top best jumpers.

I can assure you that every time he says that, there's a ripple of laughter, tittering, head-shaking and face palming among the jumpers themselves. And the false names and places that are being fed to him and that he faithfully announces to the crowd is hilarious

"Next Up we have Reverend Jim Jones who has joined us all the way from Guyana. Let's hear it from the Reverend Jim Jones!" [crowd goes wild]

But the crowd are happy and are comfortable that this isn't a gathering of loonies who are about to splat in front of them, so whilst this hubris has waterboarded the truth to the point of death, it serves its purpose.

BEGIN TRANSMISSION:

Not only were there 43 of the best BASE jumpers in the world in attendance, there were some from out of this world as well!

Great event and great people! Everyone I talked with seemed stoked about it from the EMS staff, security guys and DJ to the spectators and jumpers. Maybe next time just turn down the wind a little!

END TRANSMISSION:

Well we managed 307 jumps over the 3 days.
Only 18-20 on the Monday due to wind but Sunday was a cracker.
All in all, not too shabby seeing as the tide was a little slower going out than expected.

Lewis Jones managed 13 with 5 rigs and a packer. James Mc managed 12 with 1 rig and Dan The Man did 11 but he did his fair share of time as a cage monkey.
Several jumpers could only make the 1st day which skewed the average jump numbers.

0 injuries and only 3 big off headings.
