Brento/Valley tips
Hey guys, I am going to be in Brento last week of August then driving to the valley to start September. First time out there and just trying to get some advise. Wondering what are some reasonably priced places to sleep near the LZ's and where those spots are. I'm getting a landing card for sure and just wondering the best way to go about this, logistically. Currency exchange, travel, lodging, Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Don't leave rubbish at the exit points and respect the locals!

talk to Fabio in Brento. He operates the Base bus and the base house there. Its about 20 Euro a night, and he can arrange to pick you up at the apartment to take you to the top. As for Lauterbrunnen you should do the Im Rohr. They have indoor packing and are super friendly to base jumpers. Its also very reasonably priced. Hope this helps. You can find fabio on facebook at brento base bus. Hope this helps. PM me if you need any extra info like numbers

Make sure you make reservations before you get there (lauterbrunnen). The rooms are usually full if you're just walking in. Brento has a camping area within walking distance if you have a tent. I stayed at the PIETRA RARA. Nice rooms, you can pack in the hallway and they have free breakfast in the morning. About $30 a night i think. If you fly into italy, rent a car and return it to the italian airport, then take a train to lauterbrunnen then fly out of Zurich. You won't need a car in lauterbrunnen. Or you can fly into Zurich and rent a car, drive to bento then the valley and keep it the whole time. The cost of returning a car to Zurich from Italy isn't worth it. Another option is to drive back to italy and keep the car while you are in switzerland.
