Independent Documentary Looking for Local Stories
My name is Ross Bolidai, I'm an independent documentary filmmaker from the National Film and Television School, currently in pre-production for my next film. While at university, I made a film with Paul Fortun and Tiger Helgestad in 2013, with a tiny budget and four shooting days.

I am now returning to the subject a few years later, with more resources and experience, to create something truly special. A celebration of the sport and all that it brings to its participants.
I am looking for a local story - grass roots and urban. With security and monitoring on the rise, I want to explore a person or group of friends who overcome these obstacles and still manage to jump off buildings in urban environments, risking persecution for that moment of clarity.
With the intense nature of cameras and alarms all over Europe and major American cities, along with the spread of base jumping to developing countries, I am interested in but not limited to the BASE scenes of Southeast Asia, Africa and South America.
Please drop me a line if you might happen to have any fitting contacts, or perhaps are interested in appearing in the film yourself.
We have our premiere at the British Film Institute in February. The film will then be exhibited as a not-for-profit via international film festivals along the length of 2016.
Please be assured that I'm not looking to make a sensationalist news story about adrenaline junkies, more so a poetic glimpse into what it is to feel alive.
Thank you for your time
