How far underhung would you jump static line/PCA? Any videos of really underhung jumps out there? I'm trying to figure out what kind of limits there are for a jump I've been eyeballing for a while.

As much as I really enjoy memes and old videos everyone who didn't start jumping yesterday has seen a long time ago... does anyone have any underhung jump videos?

I would jump only underhung staticlines / pca if i am shure my canopy would not touch the object unless i am shure the rock or whatever is clean and cant cut my canopy. But i am not an expirienced jumper.

I say we do a slip-n-slide...keep making it steeper until we fly off of it!

Here's a thought. Maybe you're having trouble finding video of this because it's a bad idea. Maybe the answer is to go and find the most overhung exit point you can find and jump off that.

Just tossing it out there as a thought.

That seems an unnecessary thought...or at least an unnecessary post.

Here's a thought. BASE jumping is a bad idea. Maybe the answer is to not jump. Or to suggest something is a bad idea when you have no idea what the poster is looking to do :)

Yes Underhung Sucks and not the best idea, but sometimes it just got to get done .
The most Underhung object jump I did once was ( outside ) a nuke tube, free-fall 'stowed' ( slider-Up ) .

Ya that is it . The Outside of the Tube is pretty Under-Hung object for a slider-up Stowed jump but the only thing that actually gave me concern was the Power lines below exit .
Actually it was a 2-way exit top of the rim, With Slim going inside and me Exiting outside . Is an interesting story with Bill Beck and DJ laying inside on the bottom watching .
Slim and I discussed it for a few minutes before the Exit . You had to know Slim though, sometimes he could make goat piss turn to gasoline on jumps that seemed unreasonable and I was on top of my game and very current back then also which gave me the edge .
