Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience of the Dragon 253 made by Vertigo Base Outfitters?

The Dragon was a re-plated PD reserve. Basically just a PD 253 reserve with a different label and a tail pocket.

It hasn't been manufactured since the 90's.

Great canopy for high bust, intentional cut aways, or other "throw away" canopy jumps.

Depending on your experience level, you might get away with using it for easy objects like bridges with nice landing areas.

I wouldn't use it for modern, technical jumps.

Thanks for the info Tom. I am also looking at a Mojo with a similar DOM. Do you know how that compares?

The Mojo is far better than the Dragon. Better pressurization, better steep approaches, better flare, and the canopy still has manufacturer support.

If I had a choice between the two I'd take the Mojo every single time.

Man, I'd take a Mojo right now. I love that canopy.
