Would it be viable to use a D-ring in place of a RW-1 3 ring? Specifically I'm talking about the one linked below. I'm looking at potential ways to set up removable 3 ring system (as I'm not aware of any manufacturer who still makes the RW-6 removable rings). I've also brainstormed wrapping a piece of webbing around an L-bar and a RW-1 similar to a way that a quickdraw used in climbing is constructed.

The 3-Rings won't flip through the removable 'D-ring' part shown in paragear. I sent a request for info to Cirrus though to see about getting some here in the US.
