Best way to train for line twist with off-heading
What has been your experiences with line twist + off heading in a slider off/down or subterminal SU? This combination really freaks the shit out of me, specially the back-facing-cliff-line-twist-off-heading one. Anything you would have done different or are doing to prepare for one of these?

SRBA has an object avoidance course worth considering.

Practicing/learning somewhere forgiving and getting your equipment dialed in helps.

As a matter of fact I am taking SRBA object avoidance in about 2 months Wink

My advice: don''t do any slider-up/sub-term jumps. Take the shorter delay and go slider-down if you really have to do the object, perhaps. I was able to do one su/st jump before I was able to "practice" the scenario you just described. Never again...

I do a lot of slider up sub terminal jumps... Its good practice. The real trick is to just PICK your object. You can go slider up off the perrine as many times as you want and most likely be ok. It will also give you plenty of off heading practice, sometimes including line twists. Practice in a safe environment. But most importantly practice. SRBA teaches 180 practice, and gets you to the point of being proficient at fixing your shit prior to jumping anything else. Which is a good way to look at BASE progression as a whole. Always stack the odds in your favor, and practice what you can in a safeish environment

I do a lot of sub terminal slider up jumps as well. Usually a 650' cliff. My advice is to do a few dozen slider ups from the Perrine Bridge or similar object. I got to really enjoy the soft mushy steerable openings.

A lot of really incredible jumps are in that range for sure. Of course, by all means train as much as possible for anything you intend to do, and I highly recommend the SRBA courses.
