"Line Burn" from Through Loop
Has anyone ever seen or heard of through loops causing "line burns" as the canopy gets extracted? I've been using a through loop for 15-20 jumps and it seems fine so far but I'm just wondering if it's possible/likely.

I know the loops on a lot of skydiving reserves touch the fabric, but most of them probably only see 10 deployments in the canopy's lifetime at most.

I don't think there is enough friction for this to be even kind of likely... not enough line length over canopy material to generate that kind of heat from friction. I'd assume the only way that line can burn the canopy easily is due to a snag on the material somehow.

Just spitballing, but that seems reasonable to me.

No.
i have 3 rigs with a pack tray mounted top loop and a TLs that i always use with both pack tray mounts (loops passing through the channels in the canopy). With over 200 jumps on the TLs I haven't seen any signs of closing loop burns.
