Buyer Beware... Stay clear of this guy..
Buyer beware… If you every find yourself dealing with this guy, Julian Caquineau …”Run”. He is a thief. I purchased a container and canopy from him and never received it. $1,700.00 dollars to be exact. It was a Zak-1 and Troll 265. I found his add on this forum when he was living in France and his company was Base World. He had a website as well as Facebook page with base jumping friends , some who have probably been on this forum. He is a base jumper and paraglider designer and repaired base gear. Does first jump base courses. One year later after numerous stories of package was lost, then waiting for insurance payment from french postal insurance..and a bunch of sending it this week on another rig to replace, I have nothing. He won't respond to emails as well anymore. He is a real scam artist and most of all …..a thief and a lier. He says he is living in France as well as Greenland as he has a water company but i find that hard to believe as well. I couldn't recover my Paypal payments as they need to be reported within 90 days. My mistake trusting him. I trusted the guy as we have mutual friend Philip Valeau and people we both know threw Skydive Deland . He use to work for Jimmy And Marta when they lived there. I wont bore you with all the stupid details but just letting everyone know to stay clear of this guy. I don’t expect to recover a dime but, if on the odd chance anyone knows him , I would be most appreciative with any help recovering my rig or my money. Yes, i have hundreds of emails from him as well as my Paypal payments receipts pictures etc. Anyway, be warned of this guy. He is a real loser….
