Shortcut
Milano Malpensa to ITW
Hi, hoping anyone has suggestions on getting from Malpensa to ITW around easter e.g train, bus etc. I am pretty good at moving around Switz due to frequent trips there but Italy is a new kettle of fish. Thanks.

Train and bus easy is enough , I've done it before that way with zero italian - google will sort you out ...and you can camp just across the road from the LZ now so once you get there you're all sorted and no doubt there will be someone there with a car to help you out (going to alphio's , supermarket or whatever ) once your there ..

Train:
Malpensa > Milano Centrale
Milano centrale > Verona Porta nuova
Verona PN > Trento
Bus:
Trento > Localita Gaggiolo

I'm sure Neil will go for this and lose 1 day in traveling time so he does not have to spend money on a rental car :-)

Neil, I'm probably going to move from Basel to ITW on Thursday morning. You where such a pleasant copilot last year, so you can happily ride with me again Wink

Hey Dan !!!
The cost of the trip by train from Milan (center) to Rovereto (By Verona) is around 20€ (one way) and for arrive at Arco from Rovereto you spend 3,50€ of bus (one way)
But the best solution for is www.blablacar.com/en Wink

Appreciate the info on public transport but it was more for 'granddad jarvis' than for me.
I'm more of a 'rental car from the airport, no waiting about at stations/bus stops, total independence getting to café/restaurants/bars/hotels' kind of guy.
But if someone wants to pick me from bergamo and chauffeur me about for a week-I wouldn't say no...Tongue
See you at easter Maury.
