French Polynesia Maupiti BASE
Great video I found while researching this area since I'm heading there in a few days. I don't speak French so I have no idea what he's talking about, but it definitely looks like he did his planning. Looks like 180m from his sketch. Anyone know this guy? Or anyone jump it since?

I was heading there last yr after having the same hike fail at Bora Bora, but did not make it to Maupiti due to boat problems, Im surprised to see someone already jumped it.

People there are great and very firendly, they would be keen on seeing the jump and helping out.

There is some potential jumps in Tahiti and Moorea as well, but I dont know if they have been jumped yet either.

I'll only be in Bora Bora for two days so I'm not sure I'll have time to try and get to Maupiti for this jump. If I would have realized it was there a couple weeks ago, maybe I would have planned on trying to jump it. I'll be spending some more days on Moorea. Do you know what is there that's jumpable? I'm going to be there solo next week, so if anyone is there or going to be there, please reach out and let me know.

Your best bet is moorea, there are some cliffs there, the easiest would be the one on Paopao, Cook's bay, (the bay where the cruise ship arrive on this pic).

You can hire a hike guide or simply ask for the trail to mount Routui or mount Tohievea, although I think one of them is not hikable, needing rope to get to summit, but both have some potential (sketchy LZs).
Its all explotatory though, not many if any had jumped those cliffs.

At the time I did not have time to jump non of them either, but I think they are doable with some planning.
There is also a skydive company in Tahiti that drops off in Moorea, could be a good contact.
For Bora you definitely need more than 2 days for the jump, unless you go specificly for that, the climb is doable, but tedious, and you probably want to spend more time in one of the best lagoons any atoll in the world can offer Wink, even the clouds are green in bora.

Thanks man!! Yeah, the Bora Bora leg of the trip was supposed to be just relaxation for me...after discovering the Maupiti exit point my anxiety has really kicked in. haha. I'm going to be in Moorea for 5 days and I'll be doing some skydiving, so I'll talk to the locals.

Yeah, there is some good jumps in polynesia, I plan to make a sailing-base trip once I fix my boat.
Best posible jumps being in Marquesas though.

Would be great to hear your story if you pull it off in Moorea man.
