Paragliding Reserve as Water Round
I have a paragliding reserve I want to use as a water round. It's a Swing L size. Anyone know anything about it?
Cheers.

Most certified PDA reserves are tested up to 80mph or so, so you should be good for a solid 7-8 second delay :-)
Talk to Nick Burden, he's fucked around with them a bit.

Is it one that is like 16 foot diameter with a pulled down apex?
If so, I have friends who used to jump these off low bridges into water back in the 1980s.

It would probably work, but they have minimal reinforcement and aren't designed for high airspeed deployments. It would also need to have crown lines added unless you did a free bagged deployment.

Single riser reserve? Attach it to your feet, bungee style!
