electricians in the house?
Any IBEW union guys on here? if so id love to PM cause i got some questions. I just separated from the military and was a marine electrician.

I have the opportunity to apply with my local IBEW chapter to get right into an apprenticeship and schooling through an awesome program designed for vetarans. basically it circumvents the whole waiting process like most civilians have to do, which would be really awesome. seattle is BOOMING with construction and theres going to be solid work for many, many years to come.

one of the biggest questions i have for an IBEW guys, is it realistic for a journeyman to bust their ass for most of each year, then take a month off to go travel to europe for a month of jumping?

again, please PM me if you are a journeyman electrician with an IBEW chapter....
thanks,
Chris

Get through you apprenticeship and start your own business. Work when you want and make more money.

i like that alot, and had spoken to my old neighbor about his electrical business in norcal that brings him in some outrageously awesome fee like 120 bucks an hour or something crazy like that. work towards a contractors license after the J-card.
